  1. Maybe you can prod me… I’ve been meaning to go again since the kids were born. Always seems to be something more important to do, though.

  2. S – consider yourself prodded 🙂 I find that WW is good for getting me to think about myself for an hour a week, which is hard when you have offspring demanding your attention for the rest of the week! It’s especially good if you can dump the kids for that hour.
D – you are an inspiration! I would never know to look at you that you ever went to WW. One day people are going to think that about me too.
L – you should do it! I have been feeling so proud of myself, and so motivated, now I am wondering why it took me so long. Let’s hope the motivation continues!
E – I have no idea what the Spring Cycle is, but good luck!

  3. Hey Lara, good on you!

My sister is a WW leader (she’s very inspirational too, from 100 or so kg’s in her thirties to 60ks’s post baby and doing triathlons). I have been roped in as a ‘recorder’ for Thursdays meetings down here, so I guess I’ve joined too.

I have to keep saying to myself, ‘I am not a wheelie bin. I deserve to eat my dinner hot, from a plate, sitting down, with cutlery – not wolfing down leftovers standing at the sink. I can choose to move my body, I am not just a brain in a jar’.

But the knitting, the knitting is not so good for the exercise…

And it shouldn’t have to be about weight. We shouldn’t define ourselves by it. It shouldn’t be this way, but sometimes it just is.

  4. Good for you– I got good results just from using Calorie King to understand how many calories I’m actually eating (holy schnikes, a slice of bread is THAT much?) and being able to rededicate time to actual physical activity again. 30 min walk can make a huge difference. Still… 5kg to go…

  5. Good on you!I’m trying to drag myself to the swimming pool and get into some routine… hasn’t happened yet. I walk around the shopping centre lots though. 😉
