Urinary reflux, not the other kind…
He was very good during the test. It was horrible having to put him through that, but at least now we have an answer. We know WHY he got the infection, and we know what we can do to prevent it from happening again. He’ll have to be on antibiotics for about a year, and that should keep the infections away. If it doesn’t, then we’ll deal with that later.
He’s now asleep, after a huge feed. He had a breastfeed, then he ate all the pear and rice cereal I gave him some sweet potato for dessert. I feel like I could sleep for a month.
We are so happy to hear that the mystery has been solved!

Yes! Yes! Yes! An answer! I’m so excited for you both. There’s a reason and it was beyond your control!

I’m so pleased for you that you have finally found out what is wrong & that there is something you can do to help your baby. If only more Doctors would listen to a “mother’s intuition” instead of labelling her a fruitloop. I admire your perseverance in finding answers & not giving in to the standard Doctors line of….”we can’t see a problem so there isn’t one”
You’re a wonderful Mum!!

A friend’s baby boy had this problem too, and he grew out of it as he grew up, although he had the same treatment as your little one is having. Good luck with sleeping for a month!
Love your myrtle leaf shawl! Am just plucking up the courage to cast on one.
