Fe and I went to the protest yesterday, armed with our cameras. Fe was determined to stay impartial and professional, I thought I would try for as long as I could. But when one lone woman was surrounded with bile spewing rednecks, I had to take a stand and join her. Sarah, whoever you are, I thought you were very brave. Sarah said, “I wasn’t worried, the racists are most likely sexist too, and would never hit a woman”.
I was disgusted that the police had been close by when the refugee supporters found an APP supporter in their midst, but stayed away when the APP turned on Susan. I wondered if the police were truly as impartial as they are supposed to be, and I was still wondering when I snapped this picture.

And “John”, a Today Tonight poll is only going to reflect the ideas and aspirations of a not very educated group that get their opinions from “Today Tonight” and the Telegraph, etc. I won’t enter into an argument about the facts of immigration, but I would be happy to listen to your views once you have spent a month on a leaky boat, trying to save the lives of your children. Then we can talk about disadvantage, selfishness, and racism.

why is it that today tonight had a phone poll and it was close it was about turning the boats around the poll went yes to turn them around 92.5%and a whopping 2.5% said let them come so you lot are just a noisy minorty .

All I see is a bunch of ordinary hard working, Taxpayers voicing what we all agree with. That enough is enough with illegal cue jumping immigrants. These so called refugees travel through several countries to get to Australia that require passports to enter and would surly accept their visa applications. But no they travel to Australia, then all of a sudden when they arrive on our shores their passports and relevant papers go missing. Get with the people power which is this “The ended to our porous borders”. And cue jumping illegal immigration.

Celia – it doesn’t show anything. I have just noticed a trend lately, that if you’re waving a flag or sporting a Southern Cross tattoo or sticker, then you’re more likely to be a dyed in the wool ignorant racist than someone espousing Aussie values of mateship, respect for others, and “a fair go”. Waving a flag doesn’t make you a racist, but it’s rare to see a racist without a flag these days.

Anyone who has lived in an internment camp, or a refugee camp, or through war, or famine, or persecution, etc, wouldn’t wish it on their worst enemies. The most compassionate, caring, and truly giving people I know are those that have very little, but know what it is like to have nothing. Sharing our resources enhances our humanity, greed and pettiness robs us of it. If I had two dead rats, I’d give you one.

My husband’s granparents were GENUINE Czech refugees at the end of WWII. They spent 4 years in refugee camps with two young children and then lived for TWO years in TENTS in Victoria. They contributed by working on the Snowy Hydro scheme.
These fake refugees would neever do that, will never contribute and aare nothing more than sponges. They are here because Australia is seen as a soft touch due to the lefty do gooders
