I like your post too, Lara, BTW. I’ve always been sure that there’s something profound that i miss out on by not being a parent (though that doesn’t shake my decision!) I love seeing my friends do it so well 🙂
Don’t worry Emily – the disadvantages still outweigh the advantages unless you have that little shred of wanting a child. Though, to be completely honest, I think it does get a lot better over time. I am hoping that by the time Inigo is a decent scrabble player, I will have forgotten all the screaming and spewing and general trauma and horror 😉
