I must be the only person in the world who didn’t get up at 3am to watch the palaver, nor did I catch any TV, radio or newspaper reports.
I think that Barack Obama has a lot of promise, and I am truly inspired that Americans have looked beyond the colour of a man’s skin and seen the content of his character – and then voted for him. And I am thrilled that the Bush years are over (please tell me there isn’t a cousin waiting in the wings somewhere!).
But to call him the hope of the world is a tiny bit rich.
What I am really excited about, is Sasha Obama’s outfit.
Call me shallow 😉

Oh yes – have you been moonlighting as a stylist? they are so your colours 🙂
The girls looked super cute, didn’t they? I read an article that said the clothes were from The Gap, because Michelle doesn’t want them wearing ostentatious designer stuff that most people can’t afford.
just as shallow as me – I have Obama fatigue, he is the president of America – not the world, we kinda need to get on with what’s going on at home.
I agree – both the girls’ outfits are wonderful. But what I REALLY liked was Aretha Franklin’s hat.
OMG! Were you her colour consultant? 🙂 They all look so happy and colourful.
nope you are not the only one. I have only read excerpts of his speech and that link you provided was excellent photo coverage. Better than the gossip websites!
Im with you – Sasha’s outfit was the BEST !
Nah, we were sound asleep through it (after toasting the end of the Bush era with champagne), although did watch the speech on the BBC website in the morning.
