Perfect Popcorn

Thanks to Not Martha, I now have a recipe for perfect popcorn, and I can throw away my stupid microwave bags. Anyone up for a movie night at mine?

Edited to add – if you want to stick with microwave popcorn, try this.

I just had to do a mercy dash to Woolies to test it out, but I agree 100%.

I ended up with a popcorn popper designed to be used with a fireplace. It works equally well over the element of an electric stove if you are lacking a fireplace. The beauty is that it doesn’t use extra oils or fats (………..and tastes somewhat bland even though it keeps the number of a certain diet’s points way down). Why does “good for you” have to taste so yucky?
I have tried the paper bag idea which left quite a few unpopped kernels, unlike the fireplace popcorn basket. The popcorn seemed to be equally bland. You just cannot beat the taste of added butter and seasonings.
