My mum was told to stop by the doctor becasue it was making her too tired - I would have thought all that messing around with bottles and sterilising etc would be even more tiring! Hunter was weaned at 21 months only because I was unable to conceive when breastfeeding. I have no idea when Hugo will wean but I'll be surprised if it's not well after 2 years old, especially since he's still breastfeeding roughly four trillion times a day now at 18 months. I’ve become so accustomed to breastfeeding when and how I want that I had almost forgotten that there were people who really thought that crap. I wasn't lucky enough to be able to breastfeed (my milk didn't come in) but I think that women should go for it as long as it feels right for them and the baby.
